Brittnie Jenkins
VP, DVM Recruiting
Brittnie Jenkins was born and raised in Texas. Brittnie is the proud mom of Justyn 17, and Clayton 14. They have a dog named Zeke that that simply adore. Brittnie has been in Veterinary Medicine for 15 years. Her passion is recruiting, and she loves placing Veterinarians in practices that will make their lives better. In her spare time, she enjoys watching her kids play sports and exercise.

Sydney has over 10 years of experience in various management roles, most recently as a veterinary Practice Manager in Lubbock, TX. As a Heartland veterinary recruiter, this is the perfect opportunity for Sydney to combine her passion for animals with her years of experience in creating and building connections with the people around her. Born and raised in Texas, Sydney is a proud Red Raider who earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Sciences from Texas Tech University. In her spare time, Sydney enjoys traveling, attending live music concerts, and spending time with loved ones—especially her four dogs and four cats.

Victoria has over 7 years of educational and product development experience within the animal science community. Prior to joining Heartland, she worked as a 4-H Agent, a high school agriculture teacher, and a product development specialist for dog treats. Victoria has a passion for all things in the veterinary industry and is excited to put her skills and experience to use within the Heartland family. Born and raised in the Blue Ridge Mountains, Victoria graduated from Virginia Tech with an undergraduate degree in Animal and Poultry Sciences. She currently resides just outside of Blacksburg, Virginia with her husband and two children on their mini farm.

Veterinary Technician Recruiter
Trisha brings over 15 years of experience in management, marketing, learning & development, and a love for all beings to her position at Heartland. Her past experience includes retail management, human dentistry management, and her recent role as a veterinary practice manager. In this position, she worked alongside the Managing DVM at Paws & Claws Animal Hospital and Holistic Pet Center, providing holistic functional pet care to animals in and around the Dallas/Fort Worth area. She is excited to offer her support to the veterinary hospitals throughout Heartland in their quest to find veterinary technicians.

Jovanna brings years of recruiting experience to the Heartland team. She has always been passionate about helping individuals find their next steps, and even started her career in Higher Education helping students navigate the college search process. She is thrilled to be part of the Heartland family, and to use her talents to help veterinarians find the best practice to grow their careers. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication, Psychology and Spanish from Illinois College. In her spare time, Jovanna enjoys spending time with her four fur-babies, dancing and running.

Kathleen McKinney
Director of Support Center & Staff Recruiting
Kathleen is excited to join the Heartland team as the Veterinary Technician Recruiting Manager. She comes with years of experience in nonprofit leadership as well as time spent working in the field of veterinary medicine. Kathleen currently resides in Columbia, MO, with her pet family of two cats, one dog, and a horse. In her free time, she enjoys horseback riding, watching TV, playing Dungeons and Dragons, and hiking with her dog, Snickers. Kathleen is looking forward to getting involved in the veterinary world again and finding her place in the world of supporting veterinarians.

Angela Deputy
Chief Human Resources Officer
Angela Deputy is a Human Resources executive with 20+ years of experience across various industries including technology, healthcare, automotive, and retail. She has led talent and organization development efforts for publicly and privately held organizations including Walgreens Boots Alliance, and most recently, Aspen Dental. Angela earned an MBA from LaSalle University in Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Ball State University in Indiana, and has a number of certifications in various leadership programs and assessment tools. Angela holds a board position with Aspire, a non-profit organization recognized throughout Illinois and Wisconsin. Outside of work, Angela loves running, cooking and spending time with her husband and two sons.
